Free Nursery Sessions - Early Years Education Funding (Free Entitlement)
A child becomes eligible for the Early Years Education Funding starting from the term following their 3rd birthday. As a day nursery provider operating all year, we offer the stretched funding option, this entitles 3 and 4 year olds to 11 hours of free childcare per week, 51 weeks per year. Eligible 2 year olds also receive funding for 11 hours per week, 51 weeks per year. In order for the funding to be claimed, a completed Parent Declaration form is required to confirm the child will be claiming the sessions at our nursery and a copy of the child's birth certificate is to be provided to us. The education funding will permit two weeks absence to be funded per year, any further absences taken will be chargeable to the parent.
22 Hours Per Week Free Childcare
The free hours entitlement is now 22 hours per week for working parents. Please contact us for further information, or to arrange viewing of our setting. Alternatively, parents can apply for this additional childcare funding here. This will enable you to retrieve an eligibility code to then provide to us.
Childcare vouchers can save parents tax contributions for childcare fees. They are paid through employers. The first £50 a week supplied via childcare vouchers is exempt from tax and National Insurance Contributions (NIC) for employees. To be exempt from tax and NIC's the employee can sacrifice up to £50 per week (£243 a month) of their salary. They will then receive that amount in the form of childcare vouchers. This means they will only pay tax and NIC on the reduced level of their salary, which subsequently saves money on childcare costs. An average tax payer could save over £1,000 a year. Each employed parent/carer can claim the exemptions, so a two-parent family could save up to £2,000. We accept vouchers from all voucher scheme providers.
Tax Credits – Up to 70% of fees paid
The Childcare Element of Tax Credits can pay up to 70% of childcare fees if the parent is working. This can help towards costs of up to £122.50 per week for one child and up to £210 per week for two or more children. The Tax Credit Helpline can provide further information on how much could be claimed towards fees, based on individual circumstances - 0345 300 3900. A 5% discount will be applied to fees for children with siblings also attending the nursery. The discount is applied to the youngest sibling's fees for as long as the eldest child is in attendance at the setting.
